It’s been said that parenting is the hardest job you’ll ever love. Right now, you may only see the hard parts. It may even seem impossible because of your circumstances. Maybe your partner doesn’t want the baby, or you don’t have the support of your family or friends. Maybe you’re still in school, or you’re working but barely making ends meet. Or maybe you don’t feel qualified or ready for such a big responsibility.

At Juneau Pregnancy Resource Center, we are here to give you the support you need, whether emotional, educational, or material.

Emotional

Sometimes when things feel scary, we just need to talk to someone–to get all of our thoughts and feelings out without fear of judgment. A trusted friend is a great choice, but sometimes it’s helpful to have the caring ear of a neutral person who isn’t involved in your everyday life.

We are here for you, to listen, encourage, and answer your questions.

Educational

We have hundreds of video classes we can send to your phone or email so you can watch them in your space, on your time. They cover things like pregnancy expectations, labor and delivery, bonding with your baby, parenting newborns to toddlers, life skills, relationship skills, and more. So much to choose from! We even have lessons for dads. If you’re not able to watch from home, you can schedule a time to come to our center and do the classes from there.

However we can help, we want you to rock this parenting thing!

Material

Babies can be expensive! Through our Earn While You Learn program, we give you points for various growth-oriented activities, including taking classes and coming in for mentoring visits. You redeem those points in our Maternity Store or Baby Boutique for all kinds of items from maternity and baby clothes and equipment, to supplies like diapers and wipes.
